Bucks County Accountant Stole $115K From 100-Year-Old: DA
A Bucks County accountant is accused of stealing more than $115,000 from a 100-year-old woman to fund a gambling addiction, the Philadelphia Inquirer has reported. Jeanne Swain, 58, of Yardley is facing 96 charges, including multiple counts of receiving stolen property, theft by unlawful taking and theft by deception.
According to the Inquirer, Swain prepared taxes for the 100-year-old woman for 22 years. The victim is a resident of an assisted living home in Media, Delaware County.
