Storm Timeline For Weekend Downpours, Flooding In Eastern PA
Isolated mudslides could also occur in areas with steep terrain, AccuWeather warned.

For the second weekend in a row, a Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued due to the risk of downpours and flooding. Heavy rain is expected to start later on Friday and continue through the weekend, according to the National Weather Service. The worst of the rain will likely fall Friday evening through Saturday evening, AccuWeather is predicting.
The weekend downpours could be heavy and persistent enough to produce another round of flash flooding for already saturated grounds. Areas most at risk for the storms coming through the area include southeastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey. Isolated mudslides could also occur in areas with steep terrain, AccuWeather warned.
Downpours will likely increase in frequency and duration throughout the weekend as a cooler air from the Great Lakes interacts with tropical air in place, according to AccuWeather.

The storm is expected to drop one to two inches of rain through Sunday but some areas could see four to eight inches, forecasters say.
If the storm pans out as predicted, it would be the second weekend in row the region has dealt with flash flooding. Flooding on Sunday closed many roads in the Philadelphia region.
