PA Flash Flood Watch Extended, More Heavy Rain On The Way

The National Weather Service has extended a Flash Flood Watch through Thursday morning. More heavy rain is on the way Tuesday and Wednesday.
According to the NWS, showers and some thunderstorms are expected to become more numerous Tuesday night and continue into Wednesday and through Wednesday night.

To top it off, a tropical airmass will support areas of very heavy rain, especially where showers and thunderstorms move over the same area, forecasters explain. Rainfall amounts of over an inch in an hour are possible, the NWS said.
The heavy rain comes as the ground is already saturated from several days of precipitation. This next round of rain will lead to the possibility of some larger rivers and creeks experiencing "significant rises" and possible flooding, the NWS said.

Rivers particularly at risk for flooding include the Lehigh, Schuylkill, and Brandywine.
The rain has caused localized flooding, and even water rescues in Chester County. Unbelievable footage from fooding at Hersheypark was also captured and can be seen here:

There is very little good news in the forecast at this point. Rain is predicted to continue through Thursday and into Friday. Saturday calls for a chance of rain and thunderstorms, too.

This Afternoon: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Cloudy, with a high near 83. South wind around 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Tonight: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 8pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Low around 70. South wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Wednesday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Patchy fog before 2pm. High near 79. South wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.
Wednesday Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Low around 69. South wind 5 to 9 mph becoming light after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Thursday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 8am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 8am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 88. Calm wind becoming west around 6 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 70.
Friday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms after 8am. Partly sunny, with a high near 89. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Friday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
