Pennsylvania Weather: Hour-By-Hour Forecast Of Monday Snow, Sleet

When can you expect the ice and snow to start making the roads slippery? Here's the hour-by-hour forecast.

More winter weather is on the way Monday, following a snow storm that closed area schools Thursday and Friday. The National Weather Service says the entire Eastern Pennsylvania region is under a Winter Weather Advisory starting at 1 p.m. Monday afternoon and going through 9 p.m.

According to the Weather Channel, the precipitation will likely begin around 2 p.m. with light freezing rain. That is expected to switch over to a wintry mix around 4 p.m., then snow showers later in the evening.

The wintry weather should cease by 8 p.m. Clouds will linger, and then it will turn clear overnight, according to the Weather Channel.

"Ice will likely create hazardous conditions on area roads and walkways as the ground is very cold. The icy conditions could result in significant travel delays for the evening commute," the NWS said.

Some area school districts have already announced early dismissals.
