State Awards Newtown Township $750K For Sidewalk Extension Project
The multimodal grant will be used to create a safer, more connected route for pedestrians, according to State Rep. Perry Warren.

NEWTOWN, PA – Newtown Township has been awarded a $750,306 state grant to fund a sidewalk extension project along the Newtown-Yardley Road.
The multimodal transportation grant was announced by State Senator Steve Santarsiero and State Rep. Perry Warren, who lobbied for the funding in Harrisburg.
“This sidewalk extension along Newtown–Yardley Road will make a real difference for pedestrians by creating safer, more connected routes for residents,” said Warren. “It also supports the small businesses located along nearby State and Sycamore streets by making it easier to access local shops. I’m pleased to support this funding, which reflects the community’s commitment to walkability, accessibility, and smart transportation planning by and in Newtown Township.”
