'Suspicious' Photographer at Bus Stop Was Home Inspector: Police

Multiple callers contacted Newtown Township police Tuesday to report a man who they said was taking pictures near school bus stops.

A man reported as ”suspicious” after he was spotted taking photos near school bus stops in Newtown Township was actually a property inspector, police said Thursday.

On Tuesday, multiple callers contacted Newtown Township police to report a suspicious man who they said was taking pictures near school bus stops in the Tyler Walk development.

One of the callers provided a registration number for the vehicle and when police contacted him Wednesday, he explained he is a property inspector employed by several banks.

“On Tuesday he was in Newtown Township taking pictures of multiple properties, NOT pictures on any children,“ Newtown Township police said in a statement.

Witnesses told police they saw the man taking pictures in the area of Parkview Way and Hunters Way in the Tyler Walk Development around 6:45 a.m. A second report was from the area of Eagle Road and Hillborn Drive shortly before 9 a.m., police said.
