So what's the deal with this latest winter weather event?
A mix of snow and sleet is moving through the Philadelphia region, with more icy weather to come before precipitation changes fully to rain later this afternoon, local forecasters say.
Impacts are varying by location, according to forecasters and residents. In Philadelphia, where temperatures are already above freezing, the system is leaving behind a wintry mix of rain and sleet. Further north, the suburbs are experiencing a light coating of snow and sleet. The changeover to rain there could could come later as temperatures linger in the low 30s.

A Winter Weather Advisory issued by the National Weather Service remains in place through 6 p.m.
According to The Weather Channel, freezing rain and mix will linger until about 1 p.m. A full change over to rain is predicted by 2 p.m., when temperatures should reach the mid 30s.

Some accidents on major roadways have been reported. A car flipped on I-95 in Bucks County, where police reported dealing with several accidents.
Police are warning residents to drive with caution, especially on untreated surfaces. Authorities still warn power outages are a risk, especially if more ice falls than initially predicted. As of 11 a.m., less than 300 PECO customers were experiencing a power loss.
The forecast for Wednesday calls for mostly sunny skies, with a high near 41.
