Possible Weekend Snowstorm In PA Forecast: What We Know
The next chance of snow has entered the forecast for Eastern Pennsylvania. Here's what we know now.

Forecasters are tracking the potential for a snowstorm that could blanket the Northeast this weekend. The current track of the storm is not yet defined, but it has the potential to hit the Philadelphia region Saturday into Sunday, according to The Weather Channel.
The Weather Channel's current forecast for the Philadelphia region currently calls for snow on both Saturday and Sunday. However, "it's far too early to pinpoint any further details such as snow totals and potential locations affected," The Weather Channel said.
The National Weather Service, whose accuracy is impacted by the federal shutdown, is predicting a chance of snow as early as Thursday, with another potential for additional accumulation over the weekend.

AccuWeather as of Monday says the possible weekend snowmaker has the potential to be big — but has offered little by the way of detail at this point.
"The storm coming this weekend has the potential to put down close to a foot of snow over a long swath in the Midwest and Northeast," AccuWeather said in a news release. Specifics on what regions or cities could expect the brunt of this weather event have not yet been released by that agency.

The Weather Channel echoed similar predictions, but said it was too early to know where the storm would have the most significant impact.
"There is the potential for widespread accumulating snow and ice along and north of where the low tracks through parts of the Midwest and Northeast," The Weather Channel said in a Monday update.
It is a holiday weekend coming up, with many schools and offices closed Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Check back later in the week for further details on the possible weekend storm.
In the meantime, expect temperatures in the 40s through Wednesday across the Philadelphia region. Temperatures will dip into the 30s on Thursday, and go back up to the mid 40s by Friday, the NWS said. For the weekend, expect more cold temperatures, with overnight lows into the 20s.
