• Northampton County dad charged in daughter's hot car death to face trial (mcall.com) — A Northampton County man from Plainfield Township will stand trial in county court on serious charges in the hot-car death of his young daughter, after waiving a preliminary hearing. Prosecutors allege she died of heat stroke in June, while his attorney says they are still reviewing evidence and plan to raise legal challenges as the case moves forward locally.
   

• Northampton County court administrator soaked wife's clothes in gas, abused her, order alleges (lehighvalleylive.com) — Northampton County's court administrator, Jermaine Greene, is accused in a temporary protection-from-abuse order of repeatedly abusing his estranged wife, including an incident where her clothes were allegedly soaked in gasoline. The order, handled through Pennsylvania courts, restricts his contact and firearms while officials decline to discuss his job status ahead of a Sept. 14 hearing that could impose a final order.
