PITTSBURGH, PA - After four years in culinary exile, southwestern Pennsylvania’s meanest dessert is back. The Frownie Brownie has returned to Kings Family Restaurant.

The iconic treat, created to counter rival chain Eat ‘n Park’s Smiley Cookie, was retired when the restaurant chain was sold to a California equity company in 2015. It’s returning in a big way, starring in a new marketing campaign for the restaurants that will include TV spots, billboard advertising and social media campaigns.
