Authorities say roughly $18.7 million in alleged illegal proceeds were funneled through corporate fronts, with products distributed to convenience stores and smoke shops statewide. The case was announced near Pittsburgh by Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday alongside federal and local partners.
   

2. Landmark Pittsburgh Brewery Avoids Potential Closure With Sale (patch.com) — Penn Brewery, the city's oldest brewery and a North Side landmark, has found a buyer in local hospitality executive John Graf, easing fears after a recent bankruptcy filing. The sale, pending state liquor board approval, could secure the future of this historic Deutschtown institution just as it prepares for its annual Oktoberfest celebrations later this month.
   

3. Attorney General Dave Sunday tracks drugs between schools in 2 counties (wpxi.com) — State investigators have uncovered an illegal THC product ring tied to a Plum warehouse, with some of the accused coming from the Pittsburgh area and allegedly targeting kids through vape shops statewide. Officials say thousands of high-potency items were seized and more details about affected schools and stores are being withheld while the probe continues.
