PITTSBURGH PA - What a drag it is getting old. When it comes to their upcoming Heinz Field concert in June, this could be the last time the Rolling Stones perform in Pittsburgh.

Drummer Charlie Watts is 78. Keith Richards and Mick Jagger both are 76 and Jagger had heart surgery last year. Guitarist Ron Wood is the kid of the group at 72.

The Stones haven’t played here since 2015. If they go another five years before their Heinz Field stop, Watts will be 83, Richards and Jagger 81 and Wood 77. Is it realistic to expect the band to tour when three-fourths of the band are octogenarians?

That’s one reason there was so much hoopla over this week’s concert announcement. This truly could be the last time the Rolling Stones play Pittsburgh.
