Here are the top stories in Pittsburgh today:

1) The Outlaw Music Festival featuring Willie Nelson is heading to Pittsburgh this summer. The tour is set to stop at the Pavilion at Star Lake on Aug. 12. Other acts at the festival include John Fogerty, Flatland Cavalry, Kathleen Edwards and Particle Kid. "I can't wait to be on the road with the amazing group of artists joining us on this year's Outlaw Music Festival Tour," Nelson said in a statement. "It is always a great day of music and fun with family, friends and the incredible fans, and even more special this year in celebration of my 90th birthday."

2) Pittsburgh's Sandcastle waterpark located in West Homestead has been named to the Nation's Best Water Parks list by U.S. News & World Report. The watery was named to the top 36 water parks for 2023. Last year, Palace Entertainment, the owner of both Sandcastle and nearby sister amusement park Kennywood, gave the park a multi-million-dollar upgrade. The honorary list gave high marks to Sandcastle as 'a place to stay cool on a hot summer day.'

3) Following the loss of Cam Sutton earlier in the week, the Steelers have a new update: the team has sign all-pro cornerback Patrick Peterson. Peterson reportedly announced the news himself via Twitter, posting, ""Let's work, Steelers nation!" on his personal account. According to NFL Network, he will sign a two-year $14 million contract, which will include $5.85 million in guaranteed money. "Peterson spent 10 seasons with the Arizona Cardinals and was on the Vikings for the past two years."

4) The homeless shelter at Smithfield United Church of Christ in Pittsburgh will be staying open past March 15 this year. In previous years, the shelter was typically open only during the colder months and closed on this date. Officials state that the shelter is currently housing more than 100 people each night. Allegheny County Department of Human Services has plans to work with local organizations to help move the people staying there into more permanent housing. "The community understands the importance of providing shelter for those who otherwise would have no choice but to sleep outdoors," DHS Director Erin Dalton said.

5) For folks looking for a good laugh, climb aboard the Burgh Bus. The new entertainment venue on wheels owned by a Sewickley couple mixes an interactive comedy show with a party ride. "It is different than anything else you can do in Pittsburgh," said Ryan McBride, of Bellevue, who has ridden several times. "It has the comedy club and bar atmosphere on a traveling party bus." Both PG-13 and R-rated comedy shows are available at different times. The Burgh Bus season schedule officially opens April 1, but there are a few tours before then including this Friday at 7 p.m. with comedian Matt Light.
