So a local animal nonprofit has stepped up in a big way to help out the pets of federal employees who have been impacted by the shutdown.
Animal House Project will feed pets of impacted workers at no cost.

They have a mobile pantry at the Minquas Fire Company, which is located at 141 Wallace Avenue in Downingtown.
It's open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Federal employees should bring their federal identification and Pennsylvania driver's license in order to receive assistance.
Animal House Project, headquartered on Hanover Street in South Pottstown, aims to "help companion pets stay at home and out of animal shelters by providing donated pet food and pet care services to pet families in financial need." Learn more here.
