Several Lower Merion Roads Affected By Various Work

Several roads in Lower Merion Township are close today for various work and Patch has all the details on the closures.

Lancaster Avenue will have delays as Verizon crews are feeding fiber optic cables from manhole to manhole.

The work, which is being done in two to three block sections with each section expected to take one day, begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 3:30 p.m.

Crews worked between Argyle and Chatham roads Thursday and will continue east on Lancaster Avenue as work progresses.

Mill Creek Road will be closed Friday between Cherry Lane and Woodside Road, for roadway restoration work on the water main and service trenches.

The road will be closed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Due to the work's scope, emergency vehicles, buses and residents will not have through access, the township said.

South Narberth Avenue between Rockland and Bowman avenues will be closed for three days for water main and service installations, the township said.

The road will be closed at 8:30 a.m. and reopen at 3:30 a.m.
