Teen Arrested In Fatal Roxborough Football Scrimmage Shooting
Philadelphia Police Thursday morning announced a second person was taken into custody in connection with the deadly Sept. 27 shooting.
PHILADELPHIA — Less than 24 hours after authorities announced the arrest of one suspect in the deadly Roxborough High School shooting, police said another person has been taken into custody in connection with the incident.
Philadelphia Police Deputy Commissioner Frank Vanore Thursday morning on Twitter said a second person is in police custody.
According to multiple news outlets, arrested was 17-year-old Zyhied Jones.

Charges filed against Jones were not made available.

On Wednesday afternoon, authorities said Yaaseen Bivins, 21, was taken into custody on murder, four counts of aggravated assault, and related charges in connection with the shooting that killed 14-year-old Nicolas Elizalde, of Havertown, and hurt four other teens outside the school when a football scrimmage let out.
Authorities are still looking for others involved in the shooting, including 16-year-old Dayron Burney-Thorn, who remains at large and is wanted on murder and related charges.
