Ages 6-10
Come see why clay isn’t the only thing you can use to create a sculpture! Sculpture is a three-dimensional form created by carving and shaping a soft, or hard-bodied material to create a work of art. This class will emphasize creating art as a three-dimensional form. Children will learn the basics of sculpture and will create projects that will include: one relief sculpture, one kinetic mobile or stabile sculpture, and one free-standing sculpture. Some materials we’ll use to create our sculptures will include: paper, clay or plasteline, wax, wire, plaster, soap stone, concrete and various aggregates as additives. Materials fee is included in the tuition. Returning students welcome!
Pre-registration is required.
