BUCKS COUNTY, PA —Mr. Las Vegas is spending time at an event in Bucks County this weekend. And so should you.
With the last weekend before the "unofficial" end of summer with the three-day Labor Day weekend, carnivals, festivals, and community days are some of the highlights along with a rare Pennsylvania performance by legendary Las Vegas entertainer Wayne Newton.
If you missed the chance to see fireworks this summer, Saturday may be your last chance for the summer. Fireworks will close festivities at Lower Makefield Township Community Day.

Or maybe now is the time to bring a furry friend into the family. Women's Animal Center in Bensalem Township is participating in a national pet adoption event on Saturday and is cutting some fees by 50 percent.
Then there are some events tied to fundraisers. So you can enjoy some festivities like a beer fest to benefit Fonthill Castle in Doylestown. And while it's not in Bucks County, The Ukrainian Folk Festival 2023 in Horsham Township helps raise money for victims of the war with Russia.

Beer Fest Fundraiser To Benefit Fonthill Castle In Doylestown Saturday
Fonthill Castle will once again host its annual Fonthill Castle Beer Fest fundraising event on Saturday in Doylestown. The annual fundraising event supports year-round education, community programs, and conservation efforts at the National Historic Landmark. The 2023 Fonthill Castle Beer Fest kicks off with a VIP hour from 1 to 2 p.m. and general admission hours from 2 to 5 p.m. (Read this Patch story for more details).

St. Ann Carnival and Italian Festival Returns in Bristol
One of the Levittown area's favorite carnivals will end its six-day run on Saturday. The St. Ann Carnival and Italian Festival features rides, carnival games and prizes, bingo, basket auctions, Italian music, and plenty of Italian food, including pizza fritte, sausage and meatballs, clams, Italian baked goods, and more. The event is open from 6-10 p.m. and is held on the St. Ann's Church grounds on Pond Street and Dorrance Street in Bristol. The church is located at 357 Dorrance St.

Las Vegas Icon Wayne Newton Performing At Parx Casino
Legendary entertainer Wayne Newton will make a rare stop in Pennsylvania —his first performance in the state in six years —when he performs at the Xcite Center at Parx Casino on Saturday. Recognized and revered around the world, Newton is known for his iconic signature song, "Danke Schoen" in addition to countless other top hit singles during a career that has stretched for decades.
