BUCKS COUNTY, PA —One of Bucks County's tiniest towns is having a very big birthday party this weekend.

Ivyland —a town of 1,400 people surrounded by Warminster Township —will celebrate its 150th anniversary with a day filled with festivities and fun. The event is rain or shine.

Meanwhile, if you missed Juneteenth events, there are still a few that are continuing.

Sesame Place is running a Juneteenth exhibit in conjunction with the African American Museum of Bucks County through June 28. And the Warminster Library has plans for Saturday. See details below.

Sunday brings Celtic culture by the Bristol Borough waterfront. Hortulus Farm in Wrightstown will feature a family festival and handmade market on both days this weekend. There's also a fundraiser at Pennsbury Manor in Morrisville Saturday featuring Bucks County breweries and some 17th-century beer samples.

VIA Bringing Old-Fashioned Village Fair Back To Doylestown Saturday

An old-fashioned Village Fair, last held decades ago in Doylestown, returns on Saturday from Noon to 4 p.m. at Central Park in Doylestown Township. The event brings together local community organizations to raise money for neighbors in need of assistance with rising food, utility, and housing costs. It is being organized by the Village Improvement Association and coincides with the 100th anniversary of the founding of Doylestown Hospital by the VIA. (Read this Patch article for more details.)

Juneteenth Presentation On Harriet Tubman Saturday At the Warminster Library

Celtic Culture Showcased On Bristol Borough Waterfront Sunday

It's an annual tradition in town. Bristol Borough will hold its Celtic Day Festival at Bristol Waterfront Park on Mill and Radcliffe streets from Noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.

This tradition and free event has continued for 23 years and features an elaborate celebration of Celtic culture and heritage. Celtic Day will also bring a number of vendors to the park.

Hosted by the Celtic Heritage Foundation, Bristol Waterfront Park becomes the site of Celtic music, step dancing, kids’ entertainment, merchandise, and traditional food like corned beef and cabbage and mouth-watering baked goods.

Hortulus Farm Presenting Family Festival, Summer Market This Weekend

Hortulus Farm will hold its first Family Festival and second Summer Handmade Market on Saturday and Sunday, June 24 and 25.

Last year's Summer Market in Wrightstown was an incredible success, relays the farm's executive directors, Jon and Ariel Kontz, bringing together members of the community to support Bucks County’s talented artisans. The overwhelming response and the joy it brought to the farm, inspired Jon and Ariel to expand and enhance the event this year. The free event takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 60 Thompson Mill Rd. (Read this Patch story for more information.)

Brews And Bites Fundraiser At Pennsbury Manor Saturday

The historic Pennsbury Manor will hold its annual Brews & Bites fundraising event on Saturday, featuring craft beer tastings from breweries in and around Bucks County, food, and music. The event takes place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday. Ivyland Celebrates 150th Anniversary With Festivities Saturday

Ivyland hits a major milestone Saturday when its 1,400 residents celebrate the 150th-anniversary date of its founding.

Organizers said residents and guests should expect a lineup of food, music, and special guests.
Festivities will begin at noon on June 24 with a Welcome Ceremony in which Mayor Anthony Judice will be joined by state Sen. Frank Farry, state Rep. Brian Munroe, and founding sponsor TD Bank, among others. (Read this Patch article for the full schedule.)
