Climate Change Driving Increase In West Nile Virus Cases Across Montco

Health officials in Montgomery County have discovered a sharp increase in positive tests in mosquitoes in the past few weeks, a rise that ecologists say is at least partly due to the effects of climate change. It's not unusual for mosquito activity to increase in late summer, but what is of chief concern is the samples that have tested positive for the disease. Route 1 Interchange Turn Lane Closing For 3 Months

The reconstruction of the Neshaminy/Rockhill Drive Interchange as part of the Route 1 Improvements Project will close a turn lane for three months, PennDOT said Wednesday. PennDOT said the closure is part of the $116 million project to reconstruct, widen, and improve a three-mile section of Interstate 1 in Bucks County. (Read More)

Quadruple Shooting Leaves 1 Extremely Critical: Philly Police

Four people were hurt in a Tuesday night shooting in Philadelphia, and one is in critical condition, according to police. The shooting happened just after 9 p.m. on the 3200 block of G Street. Hurt were a 23-year-old man, two 20-year-old men, and a 30-year-old woman. (Read More)
