Election 2023: Savarese Announces Bid For Warminster District Judge

WARMINSTER, PA —With the upcoming retirement of Magisterial District Judge Daniel J. Finello, Jr., candidates are emerging for the bench in the upcoming primary election.

Ivyland Borough Councilman Todd Savarese, an attorney with more than 30 years of law experience, announced his candidacy for Magisterial District Judge. He will be on both party tickets in the May 16 primary election.

"I am excited to announce my candidacy and look forward to the opportunity to serve the people of our community," Savarese said. "I believe that my experience as an attorney and my deep roots in this community make me uniquely qualified to be a fair and impartial judge."

In mid-February, Finello announced his retirement after 20 years on the bench serving Warminster and Ivyland. Finello's retirement is effective at the end of his term in January 2024.

Savarese said he's been active in Ivyland Borough and Warminster Township for decades as a legal advisor to residents and businesses, a press release said.

Savarese has served several terms on the Bucks County Bar Association Board of Directors.

The Ivyland Borough councilman is also involved in numerous community organizations, including coaching the Warminster, Connie Mack, and CYO baseball teams for a decade.

Savarese also serves as solicitor to the Warminster Heights Home Ownership Association, a community of 698 cooperative homes where he assisted its board of directors to reshape the Warminster Heights community by refining and defending a court challenge to its One-Strike Policy, a policy resulting in eviction for serious criminal offenses.

If elected, Savarese will bring his extensive legal knowledge, keen analytical skills, and deep sense of fairness to the bench. He is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards
