William Tennent High School football game was postponed due to a "potential safety threat." School board reviewing safety after Roxborough.
WARMINSTER, PA —The shooting in Roxborough that left a 14-year-old boy dead and four injured was on the minds of Centennial School District officials as they started Tuesday night's school board meeting just a few hours after the incident happened.
"This is not a pleasant way to open a meeting but there was a tragedy at Roxborough High School," President Charles Martin said informed the school board. "The kids were playing football."
The incident hits a little closer to home after a "potential safety threat" postponed William Tennent High School's varsity football away game at Central High School last Friday.

"Our football game got postponed but nothing happened," Martin said. "But when there's a shooting at a school, that's another step."

"It's all over social media right now," Martin responded.
Philadelphia Police said a 14-year-old boy was killed and four other boys suffered gunshot wounds.
Police said at least two people ambushed a group of students who finished playing football and were walking on Pechin Street by the school and opened fire on the kids at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Martin said school officials were reviewing safety precautions to make sure the district "was vigilant and up to speed."
"I have no words, except this can't continue," he said.
