BUCKS COUNTY, PA —Students in several Bucks County schools will be getting the chance to witness an astronomical event without being in a classroom.

Several school districts have announced that students will be dismissed early Monday for the solar eclipse, due to safety precautions and the opportunity to see such a spectacle.

"The safety and well-being of our students and staff is our utmost priority. While solar eclipses are fascinating astronomical events, they also come with certain risks if proper precautions are not taken," Centennial Schools Superintendent Dana T. Bedden said.
