Barry Baker Sentenced To 3 To 6 Years In Prison
Breaking: Barry Baker, accused of mocking and sucker punching a victim with cerebral palsy in West Chester, has been sentenced to prison.

WEST CHESTER, PA — The man accused of sucker punching a victim with cerebral palsy last spring in West Chester was sentenced to three to six years in prison on Wednesday, according to court documents.
Barry Baker, 29, of Georgetown, Delaware drew national headlines in May after the incident in which he first mocked, and then sucker punched the man was caught on video.
The video spread like wildfire through social media, and Baker only grew in infamy as he failed to show up for an initial court hearing, spurring a manhunt for his arrest.

He was ultimately captured by US Marshals at a hotel in Exton in June, where he had holed up with the assistance of his fiancée.
"The defendant's actions in this case are appalling," said West Chester Police Chief Scott Bohn. "You wonder what would make an individual treat somebody like that."

Baker alleged that the victim had been acting inappropriate toward a woman earlier in the night at a nearby bar, sparking the confrontation.
Baker had pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault and flight to avoid apprehension in September.
Judge William P. Mahon handed down the sentence. Assistant District Attorney Cynthia Morgan prosecuted the case.
