The Yardley Borough Police Department has added Daniel Winter, who served three years with Penndel, to its police force.

YARDLEY, PA —The Yardley Borough Police Department has added another part-time police officer to its ranks.

Winter filled a vacant position created when one of the department's part-time officers left to join the Upper Makefield Police Department on a full-time basis.
Winter's hiring comes after the police department has experienced numerous changes among its part-time ranks over the past year.
In April, the borough hired part-time police officer James Routh.
In late February, the police department hired Lucas Murray to replace Heather Carnivale, who left in mid-October to take a full-time post with the Lower Southampton Township Police Department.
Last October, police officer Dakota B. Romberger was promoted to the full-time ranks. In September, Yardley hired Robert Gergal Jr. as a part-time police officer.
