LANGHORNE, PA —The cooler mornings the past few days had Yardley photographer Josh Friedman thinking.

He thought about winter. And recalled a snapshot he took during a day in January in which it snowed all day.

Friedman had a midday break in his schedule, so he headed out to Core Creek Park.

A bend in the road caught his eye, so Friedman pulled his car over, put his blinkers on, and got out to take a few photographs of the picturesque winter scene.

"When I got back in my car, my right-side tires were over a small lip at the side of the road," he said. "I had a few scary minutes until I was able to get traction and get my car moving forward. Winter photography definitely has its risks and rewards."
