Taylorsville Road Ramp To I-295 Opening Friday
The Taylorsville Road on-ramp has been closed for work on Scudder Falls Bridge since May.
LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Taylorsville Road on-ramp to Interstate 295, which has been closed since May for work on and around the Scudder Falls Bridge, is scheduled to reopen on Friday.
Joseph Donnelly, a spokesman for the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission, told Patch that while recent advisories said the ramp will open "on or about Aug. 17," the ramp is expected to open on Friday.
No exact time has been set for the reopening, Donnelly said, but he said it is expected to be in the afternoon.

The Exit 10 ramp, which carries traffic from Taylorsville Road onto I-295 West (the old I-95 South) toward Newtown and Philadelphia, was rebuilt as part of the bridge project.
Meanwhile, the off-ramp to Rt. 29 on the New Jersey side of the bridge — the highway's first exit in New Jersey — was set to reopen at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Donnelly said.

While the ramps were closed, commuters heading across the Delaware River into and back from New Jersey have been required to use a complicated detour or choose another bridge.
