Rhode Island State Police Arrest 3 On Drive-By Shooting Charges
The three men were also charged with weapons offenses and various other crimes, police said.
Three men were arrested Wednesday and charged with drive-by shootings, police said.
Zachary Martins, 26, of Springfield, Massachusetts, Troy Torres, 20, of Providence, and Jamari Bell, 23, of Cranston, all were charged with drive-by shootings, using a firearm when committing a crime of violence resulting in injury, using a firearm when committing a crime of violence, license or permit required for carrying a pistol, possession of firearms by certain persons prohibited, conspiracy, duty to stop in an accident resulting in injury, false report of a crime and obstruction of an officer in execution of duty, the Rhode Island State State Police said in a media release.

Bell was also charged with possession with the intent to deliver fentanyl and possession with the intent to deliver cocaine, according to the release.
Martins was "taken into custody in Massachusetts and will be held pending extradition proceedings to Rhode Island," the release said.

Torres was processed at State Police Headquarters, special arraigned by a justice of the peace, and turned over to officials at the Adult Correctional Institutions Intake Center pending his arraignment in Sixth Division District Court, according to the release.

"Mr. Bell is currently incarcerated at the Adult Correctional Institutions and will be arraigned on his new charges in Sixth Division District Court," the release said.
State police Lt. Col. Robert Creamer failed to respond to a request for additional information on the arrests.
