North Kingstown Man Arrested And Jailed: Cops (patch.com) — East Greenwich drivers on Route 4 may have noticed police activity early Tuesday when state troopers stopped and arrested a 52-year-old North Kingstown man wanted for missing a court date on a suspended-license charge. Police say he was processed at the Wickford Barracks before being taken to the state's Adult Correctional Facilities.

NEIT is tripling Electric Boat training space at its Warwick Post Road campus, backed by $45 million in Navy and company funding, creating a stronger pipeline from local classrooms into high-paying manufacturing jobs.
   

4. RI Education Commissioner shares message for new school year (wpri.com) — Students in East Greenwich are heading back to class as Rhode Island's education commissioner urges families to stay engaged, fight absenteeism, and tap into free supports. She highlights new statewide online mental health services through Hazel Health, available in multiple languages, and encourages parents to ask schools what academic and emotional resources their children can use this year.
   

5. Local Rules at Goddard Park Farmers Market (eastgreenwichnews.com) — An East Greenwich resident is among the many regulars who flock to the Goddard Park Farmers Market on Fridays, supporting small Rhode Island farms and makers.
