The article explains what the system does and doesn't promise, how requests are prioritized, and why online reporting may matter more for tracking than phone calls.
   

2. Middletown library adds books in nine languages and its first video game collection (whatsupnewp.com) — Middletown residents can now borrow books in nine languages and check out video games for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 at the public library on West Main Road. The new collections, shaped by input from Middletown schools and Naval Station Newport, are free with a library card and can be reserved online, expanding options for multilingual reading and low-cost gaming.
   

3. Report sees opportunity where Portsmouth lost growing firm (eastbayri.com) — Middletown is part of a new regional study showing Aquidneck Island has thousands of acres zoned for commercial and industrial use but very limited space actually available for growing firms. People's Credit Union employees log 500 volunteer hours for mental health (pbn.com) — A Middletown-based credit union shut all its branches for a full Day of Purpose so employees could volunteer more than 500 hours with local mental health and community organizations. Staff assembled care kits, supported behavioral health workers, helped at conservation and animal groups, and collected hundreds of essential items for children and teens in supportive care.
