Police Arrest Man After Allegedly Threatening Middletown Woman

Portsmouth police reportedly arrested a local resident after allegedly threatening a Middletown woman.

Wayne Brown, 49, of Scotty Drive, Portsmouth, was arrested Sunday around 7:15 p.m. at his home.

Police received a complaint from a 30-year-old Middletown woman, who told police she received threatening phone calls from the suspect. Officers arrested Brown and charged him with making harrassing and threatening phone calls, domestic. He appeared before a justice of the peace earlier this week and has been ordered to appear in Second District Court on Thursday.
