O'Donnell said it was fitting that the ceremony Tuesday afternoon was on the Framingham campus, where many of the first responders received their education in criminal justice or allied health.
During the ceremony, Milca Matos Benson sang the National Anthem and America the Beautiful, student trustee Sandy Antonellis spoke and humanities professor Robert Tarutis, who was one of Campbell's professors, read the poem The History Teacher by Billy Collins.
