
NEWPORT, RI – This election day, you have a lot of decisions to make: city councilors and school committee members, General Assembly members, U.S. Congressman and the Oval Office. You handle who to vote for. We'll give you everything you need to get into the voting booth.
What's local on the ballot:
- U.S. Congress: David Cicilline, D, versus Harold Russell Taub, R.
- Senate District 12: Teresa Paiva Weed, D, versus Sav Rebecchi, I.
- Senate District 13: Louis DiPalma, D, versus Amy Veri, R.
- House District 73: Marvin Abney is unopposed.
- House District 75: Lauren Carson, D, versus Michael Smith, I.

- City Council, Ward 2: Lynn Ceglie is unopposed.
- City Council, Ward 3: Kathryn Leonard is unopposed.
- City Council, At Large: Vote for up to 4. Jamie P. Bova, John F. Florez, Claude Andrews Lavarre, Justin S. McLaughlin, Jeanne Marie Napolitano, Kimberly L. Shute*, Henry F. Winthrop. *Shute is on the ballot but has withdrawn.
- School Committee: Vote for up to 7. Rebecca Bolan, David R. Carlin III, Sandra J. Flowers, Jo Eva Gaines, Raymond E. Gomes, David Charles Hanos, Jr., Adrienne Clemente Haylor, Jennifer Elizabeth Jackson, Henry P. Kniskern, Robert J. Leary,Thomas S. Phelan, Kathleen M. Silvia.

When to vote:
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8. If you make the line by 8 p.m., you're allowed to vote.
Some people chose to vote by mail. Their ballots must be received by 8 p.m. on Nov. 8 at the state Board of Canvassers.
