Authorities say Alexander Krajewski, 30, a Newport firefighter, injured two teens in a head-on collision in Exeter.
NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — A North Kingstown man facing DUI charges and who police say injured two teens in a crash can continue driving, a judge ruled Wednesday.
Prosecutors said Alexander Krajewski, 30, a Newport firefighter, was involved in a head-on crash Saturday night on Ten Rod Road in Exeter. The crash injured two West Warwick teens, both under the age of 18.
Krajewski was not injured during the crash, authorities said. He was charged with two counts of driving to endanger with personal injury resulting and two counts of DUI liquor or dug resulting in serious bodily injury (first offense).

At 4th District Court in South Kingstown, state prosecutors asked that Krajewski be restricted from driving, but Judge Patrick O'Neill allowed him to continue driving under certain conditions, because Krajewski needs to drive to Connecticut for paramedic classes, NBC 10 reported.
For Krajewski, the judge said he needs to have an ignition lock installed that won't allow him to drive if he's impaired. Krajewski was given $10,000 bail with surety.
