How Much Snow Did Providence County Get From the Groundhog Day Storm?
See what town received the most amount of snow.

West Glocester topped the list for most amount of snowfall in the county. The Town picked up 13.1 inches of snow from the Groundhog Day snowstorm on Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
Although it doesn’t seem like a lot of snow compared to last week, Providence County received the most amount of snowfall in Rhode Island, NWS data shows.
Here is NWS’ Top 10 towns that received the most snow in Providence County:

- West Glocester— 13.1 inches
- Pawtucket— 13 inches
- Burrillville— 13 inches
- N. Cumberland— 12.0 inches
- Harrisville— 11.1 inches
- Smithfield— 11.0 inches
- North Providence— 10.5 inches
- Providence— 10.0 inches
- Rumford— 8.0 inches
- East Providence— 6.2 inches
Although Woonsocket was not included in the NWS data, the town received enough snow to delay trash collection and for school officials to cancel Tuesday classes.
