WEATHER UPDATE: Snow Expected to Fall From Saturday into Tuesday
More than a foot of snow could fall over a four-day period.

Over a foot of snow is expected to fall in portions of Rhode Island during a series of small snowstorms that will fall from Saturday into Tuesday.
Weather forecasters said snowfall will be intermittent with the heaviest snow on Monday.

Here is Woonsocketβs snowfall predictions for the next few days from weather.com:
- Saturday night: 1 to 3 inches
- Sunday day: 1 to 3 inches
- Sunday night: 1 to 3 inches
- Monday day: 5 to 8 inches
- Monday night: about 1 inch
The City of Woonsocket is preparing for the storm and has issued a parking ban, Woonsocket Police Department announced. The ban will begin on Sunday at 11 p.m. and will continue until further notice. City officials ask residents to keep vehicles off of the street.

The snowfall predictions for each day donβt seem like much, but when taken together we may see a foot of snow between Saturday and Tuesday.
Rhode Island is expected to face some extremely cold weather despite the National Weather Service canceling the wind chill advisory alert.
The City of Woonsocket has opened warming centers to protect residents against the cold.
This latest snow forecast comes within two weeks since the Blizzard of 2015, the Groundhog Day storm and a handful of smaller storms have dumped more than four feet of snow on parts of Rhode Island.
