• Final ad for 2026 of the Pickens County Delinquent Tax Sale (yourpickenscounty.com) — Pickens County has published its final list of properties headed to the Oct. 13 delinquent tax sale, including parcels tied to Easley owners and even Easley Combined Utilities. If your name or utility appears here, you have until Friday, Oct. 9 to pay in certified funds and avoid losing the property at auction in Liberty. 
• J.M. Ellison Obituary Oct 5, 2026 (robinsonfuneralhomes.com) — Longtime Easley resident and businessman J.M. Ellison, 94, has passed away after a life that included Easley High football, Navy service in Korea, and founding well-known Easley hair businesses. Friends can visit Wednesday afternoon at Robinson Funeral Homes on Powdersville Road, with the funeral and interment following in the chapel, and memorials invited to Brushy Creek Baptist Church in Easley.
