• Town of Irmo announces details of National Night Out 2026 (whosonthemove.com) — Irmo families are invited to National Night Out 2026 on Tuesday, October 6, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Moore Park on Church Street. The free event will feature food, games, music, inflatables, and plenty of chances to meet Irmo Police officers and town officials in a relaxed, family-friendly setting. 
• Irmo Middle honors chorus selected to perform at Columbia conference (lexingtonchronicle.com) — Irmo Middle School's Honors Chorus has been chosen to perform as a featured ensemble at the South Carolina Music Educators Association conference in Columbia on February 5, 2027. The director and district arts coordinator say the honor highlights students' hard work and showcases the strength of Irmo's choral program to educators from across the state.
