• Lexington earns first win of the season as Wildcats pounce Swansea (lexingtonchronicle.com) — Lexington High's Wildcats finally snapped a 329-day winless streak with a dominant 47–13 home victory over Swansea, piling up 400 yards of offense and spreading touchdowns across multiple players. The win moves Lexington to 1–3 and sets up a momentum-filled matchup against Spring Valley, while the roundup of other Lexington County scores helps you track how neighboring schools fared.
   

• SCDOT to Temporarily Close Exit on I-26 in Lexington County for New Ramp Alignment (westmetronews.com) — Drivers in Lexington County should be ready for a full weekend closure of the I-26 eastbound Exit 129 ramp to US 21 from Friday night, September 11, through early Monday, September 14. A signed detour will route eastbound traffic to Exit 136 and back, while other ramps at the interchange stay open. Plan extra time and watch for crews in the work zone.
