What Should Go Here? Liverman Hospital
What creative uses would you suggest for this iconic space near the heart of downtown?
Before there was the Lexington Medical Center, there was Liverman Hospital, created and built by local obstetrician Dr. James Liverman in 1951.
Situated on North Church Street near the heart of downtown, this empty space (ironically situated across the street from a cemetery) might make a good space for professional offices.
But seeing as how the town of Lexington is seeking to revitalize it's downtown and draw pedestrians, what creative or innovative use would you suggest for this iconic building? Tell us in the comments section below.
About this column: Every so often, we'll post a picture of a vacant store, building, or lot in Lexington. You can tell us what you think should replace the empty space. Know of an empty building we should highlight? E-mail hal.millard@patch.com.
