• Courier Notice to Creditors 9-30-26 (yourpickenscounty.com) — Residents with claims against several recently deceased Pickens County residents are being formally notified to file with the Pickens County Probate Court at 222 McDaniel Ave., B-16, Pickens, within the required deadlines. If you believe you're owed money or have another claim against any of the listed estates, you must submit the proper Form 371ES in writing or risk losing your rights.
   

• Woman dies, child escapes house fire (wyff4.com) — A deadly early-morning house fire in Pickens County left one woman dead, a man hospitalized, and a child escaping through a back window, according to the coroner. Easley firefighters brought the LeAnn Drive blaze under control in about 40 minutes. Authorities are still investigating and have not yet released additional details about the victims or cause.
   

• AnMed announces new campus, emergency department in Anderson County (wspa.com) — Pickens County residents could see improved access to emergency and specialty care as AnMed plans a major new emergency center and healthcare campus off Clemson Boulevard near I-85, opening in 2028. The project is part of a broader expansion across Anderson, Pickens, and Oconee counties, including new facilities in Clemson and Anderson that will add orthopedics, ENT, occupational medicine, and heart and vascular capacity.
