Leadership Simpsonville class of 2026 launches fundraising campaign to revitalize Alder Park basketball court (whosonthemove.com) — Alder Park's aging basketball court in Simpsonville is set for a major facelift, and local residents are being asked to help fund it. The Leadership Simpsonville Class of 2026 is partnering with the city's Parks and Recreation Department to raise $15,000 for resurfacing, new goals, and safety upgrades, with donations coordinated through the Simpsonville Area Chamber of Commerce.

Registered sex offender was allowed to participate at South Carolina church for decades (blogspot.com) — Brookwood Church in Simpsonville has removed a longtime volunteer after confirming he is a registered sex offender with past convictions, and has tightened its policies for any offenders attending services. The report also raises questions about his involvement with a nearby Gray Court music venue that has hosted youth performers, and how much congregants knew about his background.
