• Simpsonville Police Department invites community to Heritage Park for 2026 National Night Out (whosonthemove.com) — Simpsonville families are invited to Heritage Park on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026, for a free National Night Out with police, firefighters, and city staff. From 6 to 8 p.m., kids and adults can explore emergency vehicles, public works equipment, and community resource booths while meeting first responders and neighbors in a relaxed, family-friendly setting aimed at strengthening local safety and trust.
   

• 5th Annual Kickstands for Kids with a Jeep Invasion - Who's On The Move (whosonthemove.com) — A charity motorcycle and Jeep ride is coming to the Mauldin/Simpsonville area on Saturday, Sept. 12, raising funds for local children and families in need. Riders, Jeep owners, and spectators can enjoy a scenic Upstate cruise, custom vehicles, local vendors, craft beer, and live music at Bridgeway Brewing Co. from late morning through the afternoon.
   

• Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County Names New Board Members (greenvillebusinessmag.com) — Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County has added five new board members, including banker and former Simpsonville City Council member Ken Cummings, to guide its affordable homeownership work. Their combined experience in banking, law, education, and local government will shape homebuilding, repair, and education programs that can benefit qualifying families across Greenville and nearby communities, including Simpsonville residents.
