• New downtown business set to open in October, offering shoes and haircuts (wjhl.com) — Downtown Johnson City will soon get Laced Up Kicks and Cuts, a combined sneaker shop and barbershop on Spring Street where residents can buy, sell, or trade shoes and get haircuts. Owner Tony Holmes hopes the October opening will create a welcoming hangout for local youth, offering style, potential job opportunities, and a community space under one roof.
