• Northeast Tennessee wood products maker expanding (wjhl.com) — New River Hardwoods is investing a $1.5 million state agriculture grant into expanding its Mountain City sawmill, with plans to add roughly 12 to 20 jobs over the next few years. Company leaders say the new equipment and hiring will strengthen the local economy and keep more wood-products manufacturing rooted in Northeast Tennessee.
