NASHVILLE, TN — The unseasonably cool temperatures will continue for at least the front half of the week, with a slight warm up and rain chances as the Midstate nears the weekend, according to the National Weather Service forecast for Nashville. Monday: A slight chance of sprinkles in the morning, otherwise mostly cloudy, high of 83. Mostly cloudy in the evening with a 30 percent chance of showers after 1 a.m., low of 60.

Tuesday: Cloudy to start, then clearing as the day wears on, high of 82. Clear and a bit cool after sundown, low of 58.

Wednesday: Sunny and warmer, high of 88. Mostly clear overnight, low of 70.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m., high of 89. Partly cloudy after dark, low of 72.

Friday: Partly sunny with a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms after 1 p.m., high of 87. A 30 percent chance of showers and storms in the evening, otherwise mostly cloudy, low of 72.
