4 Nashville Men Sentenced In Driver's License Scheme
A former driving examiner and three others were sentenced in federal court for their roles in a bribery scheme.

NASHVILLE, TN — A federal judge sentenced four Nashville men for their roles in a driver's license bribery scheme Monday.
Walton Michael Wand, 52, of Antioch, a former license examiner at the Hart Lane station in Nashville, was sentenced to one year in prison, three years of supervised release and fined $7,500. Wand used his position to solicit and accept bribes in exchange for issuing driver’s licenses to unqualified individuals, many of whom failed the written examination. He was found guilty in March 2017 after a two-week trial. Wand issued at least 21 fraudulent drivers’ license permits, charging $250 for each.
