• Conroe is putting together a proposal to bring Trump's Space Academy to the city (houstonchronicle.com) — Conroe leaders have unanimously agreed to spend up to $25,000 developing a formal bid to host President Trump's newly announced U.S. Space Academy, hoping to land a transformative education and jobs hub. If selected, officials say the academy could boost Conroe's economy, deepen local school partnerships, and position the city in the growing aerospace and defense sectors.
   

• Conroe approves $275K playground for Oscar Johnson center (communityimpact.com) — Conroe families can look forward to a much larger, more accessible playground at the Oscar Johnson Jr. Enrichment and Recreation Center after City Council approved a $275,836 upgrade. The new design adds shaded play structures, swings, musical features, and textured elements to better serve children with disabilities and autism, and could accommodate up to 80–100 kids during scheduled activities.
   

• NEWS - Federal jury finds Conroe man guilty of enticing a minor in Del Rio (830times.com) — A man from Conroe has been convicted by a federal jury in Del Rio of enticing a minor online, and now faces 10 years to life in prison. Prosecutors say he used a dating site and social media to pursue explicit contact, with FBI agents arresting him the day after his messages began. The case is part of the Justice Department's Project Safe Childhood initiative.
