Second Suicide In Two Weeks Reported At San Antonio Detention Facility
This also marks the fourth time in less than a month that jail officials have reported a suicide at the facility.

SAN ANTONIO, TX -- A Bexar County Jail inmate was found dead of apparent suicide on Friday -- the fourth such death at the facility in the last few weeks alone.
Officials said the incident occurred at about 7:30 a.m. EMS medics attempted to revive 41-year-old Melvin McKinney without success, officials said during a press conference.
The man had been in detention since 2013 on charges of aggravated assault on a public servant, felony possession of a firearm and drug possession, officials said.

This is the fourth death by apparent suicide in the last several weeks at the facility and the second in as many weeks. Last wee, Jesus Lopez, 18, died the day after what was categorized as an attempted suicide. Within the past month, two other suicides have been reported at the facility.
