Meredith Milligan, Neighbor

Meredith Milligan graduated from the University of Georgia in December 2010, where she majored in sport management. While she was at UGA, she worked for the sports communications department as a student assistant, helping with the football, basketball, tennis, baseball, gymnastics, and track and field teams, to name a few. Before transferring to Georgia her sophomore year, she spent a year at Penn State University and wrote for the largest student-run newspaper in the nation, The Daily Collegian, and covered rugby for the first time in her life!

She attended Woodland High School in Cartersville, Ga. where she was editor-in-chief of the student newspaper, The Phoenix, and participated in volleyball and golf. Her favorite sports are basketball and football, and she prefers college over pro sports. Some of Meredith's favorite sports teams are the Georgia Bulldogs, Penn State Nittany Lions and the Indianapolis Colts. 

Meredith is also a member of several professional organizations, such as Football Writers Association of America (FWAA),  United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA), Collegiate Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), and Association for Women in Sports Media (AWSM). She plans on attending grad school in the next few years and hopes to one day be an Associate AD for a Division I program.

In her spare time, she likes to play with her dog, Connor, spend time with family, friends and her wonderful boyfriend, shop, travel and cook.
